We welcome any graduate student who is interested in helping improve graduate student life. Involvement in the GSA provides a greater understanding of how the university operates; a chance to affect policy and thereby improve the lives of graduate students; and a way to meet people outside your department.
THERE ARE MANY WAYS YOU CAN GET INVOLVED:

SERVE AS YOUR DEPARTMENT'S REPRESENTATIVE
All graduate and professional departments are invited to select one or more representatives to the GSA, depending on the program enrollment.
Generally, it is one representative for every fifty students enrolled in your department.
2.
COMMITTEE MEMBERSHIP
Serve on one of the many campus committees that need graduate student representatives. Apply at gsa.ucsb.edu/committees.
3.
ATTEND A GENERAL ASSEMBLY
Come to our monthly meetings and observe what is going on. We always send reminders to your UC Santa Barbara email.
