ABOUT
The GSA Excellence in Teaching Award (ETA) recognizes graduate students who have shown excellence and gone above and beyond as teachers at UC Santa Barbara. Take the chance to give back and nominate your favorite teaching assistants and associates! Anyone in the UC Santa Barbara campus community can nominate a teaching assistant or associate for this award. Every year, we received about two hundred nominations. Selecting the few winners among this large pool of excellent graduate students is both challenging and inspiring. We very much look forward to receiving this year’s list of nominees.
ELIGIBILITY
Nominations are accepted for the following four categories:

Lecturers and Teaching Associates (All disciplines)
-
Teaching Assistants (Humanities and Fine Arts)
-
Teaching Assistants (Social Sciences)
-
Teaching Assistants (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics)
To be eligible, the Lecturer, Teaching Associate must have taught at least one quarter during Summer 2022, Fall 2022, or Winter 2023. Former winners of the award are not eligible.
